Craig “Doc” Louw joined Carrick as Group Chief Operating Officer in July 2026, bringing 18 years of experience in regulated financial services across multiple jurisdictions. Based at Carrick’s Cape Town Head Office, he leads Carrick Financial Services and Carrick International, the central operating platforms that support the Group’s businesses.
Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer, Doc works closely with Carrick’s executive team and business leaders to translate the Group’s strategy into disciplined execution. His focus includes strengthening operational performance, improving systems and processes, and ensuring that the Group’s people, structures and controls are equipped to support its continued growth and development.
Doc began his career at Deutsche Bank in London before joining fintech start-up GBO Online Systems, which later became part of Global Prime Partners and subsequently the Titan Wealth Group. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions spanning strategic operations, risk, client service, commercial efficiency and executive governance. His experience also includes operational restructuring, business transformation, systems development, and supporting organisations through periods of growth, acquisition and integration.
Before joining Carrick, Doc served as Chief Executive Officer for Africa at Private Office Ventures.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) in Finance from the University of Cape Town and has completed the MBA Fundamentals programme through Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
Outside of work, Doc enjoys live music, rugby, cricket and spending time outdoors.
