Tell us about how you contribute to the success of Carrick Wealth as an organisation.
As a Senior Wealth Specialist, working out of Durban, I am a leader in generating business for our company and have been one of the top five wealth specialists since we opened our doors in 2014. In addition, I have the highest assets under management generating annual advisory fees. Not only does this contribute to the company’s growth but also, I hope, provides a goal to work towards for the rest of the team.
What is the best part about your job?
The best part of my job is having the opportunity to be able to realise my dreams and goals for my family and myself. I achieve this by making sure that I give my clients the best advice and attention to ensure that they in turn achieve their goals and objectives.
Tell us about your personal and professional growth while working at Carrick.
I have been in this particular field of financial services for 10 years and see the past six years at Carrick as the most stimulating. During this period I furthered my industry-specific qualifications and gained much valuable experience with top global product providers. Being part of a growing company where we are forging new partnerships and expanding into Africa, offers innate opportunities to grow as an individual. There are boundless opportunities to learn and expand one’s business profile and individual capacity.
What is a typical day at work like for you?
My day starts early with school drop-off for my daughters (before lockdown) and then on to the office. Reviewing emails and LinkedIn messages is the first step, followed by meetings from 10am. Proposals and reports fill up the late afternoon, while I end off the day setting tasks for the next day.
