Financial Services Commission

The Financial Services Commission (“FSC”) is the integrated regulator for the non-bank financial services sector and global business. Established in 2001, the FSC is mandated under the Financial Services Act 2007 and has as enabling legislations the Securities Act 2005, the Insurance Act 2005 and the Private Pension Schemes Act 2012 to license, regulate, monitor and supervise the conduct of business activities in these sectors. In carrying out its mission, the FSC aims to: (i) promote the development, fairness, efficiency and transparency of financial institutions and capital markets in Mauritius; (ii) suppress crime and malpractices so as to provide protection to members of the public investing in non-banking financial products; and (iii) ensure the soundness and stability of the financial system in Mauritius.

As a client, you are entitled to full transparency and disclosure of information and fees on any financial product that you purchase. We, as a Securities Investment Advisor are required to keep proper records of all transactions and client contacts, as well as complying with legislation aimed at addressing the quality of advice that is given.

Our Wealth Specialists, whom you appoint, will require you to, inter alia, sign a mandate which will ensure that your wishes are carried out in accordance to set parameters and agreed upon objectives and investment requirements.

Our Wealth Specialists are licensed with the FSC and are trained in accordance with industry standards. Continuous Professional Development (“CPD”) ensures that ongoing training and development programmes are in place.
