International Adviser (IA) has become known as the voice of the global financial adviser community over the past 12 years or more, informing the industry and engaging with it through various leading publications, major events and prestigious best-practice awards given to top achievers in the industry.
IA has just launched the maiden edition of its new glossy publication, International Adviser Top 100, to be known as IA 100. To celebrate their contribution to the industry, IA 100 will annually publish its prestigious list of 100 most influential people worldwide in the industry, together with short biographies of each. It can also be viewed at a dedicated section on IA’s website at international-adviser.com.
“I am honoured and flattered to have been selected to join my peers around the world on International Adviser’s inaugural Top 100 list,” says Craig. He is, of course, no stranger to the global financial adviser community, having worked in some of the top positions in the industry in Africa, the Middle East and Asia before founding Carrick, which is headquartered in Cape Town.
Craig joins an impressive and diverse list of key people across the global industry that includes leading financial advisers and CEOs from many top firms, wealth managers, professional service providers, specialist product providers, international life companies, regulatory bodies, trade bodies, platform heads, insurance companies and pension providers.
Explaining the idea behind launching IA 100, the editor of International Adviser, Kirsten Hastings, says that there are some individuals that help quicken the pace of change, for example, by developing new initiatives, forging ahead with innovation or simply leading by example. The contributions these individuals make can often go unnoticed or unheralded, she says.
“That’s why we at International Adviser decided to shine a light on the movers and shakers that have helped this industry get to where it is today. Included in this publication are key influencers who have made a lasting impact,” says Hastings.
As Craig’s listing in IA 100 points out, he established Carrick Wealth in 2014 with the vision of pioneering an innovative, customer-centric company that sets the benchmark for wealth management in Africa. Craig is not only a respected financial professional but is also an advocate for sustainable philanthropy as the co-founder of Signature of Hope Trust, the non-profit CSI arm of Carrick.
In his listing, Craig says that through Carrick, “we have tackled the three factors that continue to transform the financial services sector: re-alignment of client expectations; more competitive and tougher markets; and increased regulation”. He also led the implementation of Carrick’s Africa 2020 strategy, shifting the focus to a customer-centric business model.
We, the entire team at Carrick and our industry partners, congratulate Craig on another outstanding achievement. View the full IA 100 edition here: https://international-adviser.com/ia-100/
