Tell us about how you contribute to the success of Carrick Wealth as an organization. This can include your role, the team you work with, and the impact you have.
Managing and leading the offshore arm of the Carrick group comes with both challenges and benefits. Nonetheless, Carrick Investment Services (CIS), where I manage the Africa component, has contributed immensely to the company’s client acquisition and revenue goals this year. It is a feat I believe we were able to achieve mainly due to the levels of contribution by the highly driven, passionate individuals of high integrity that make up our team.
What is the best part about your job?
For me the best part of my job is managing a high-performance team. All the individuals on the CIS team are unique and bring different sets of expertise to the table. So, having the opportunity to work with and manage a team like this not only makes my job a lot easier but most enjoyable too.
Tell us about your personal and professional growth while working at Carrick.
Working at Carrick has helped me grow in multiple ways. One of the more definitive ways I would say is my growth as a leader: learning to practice and act with empathy; taking on a more positive outlook; and always looking for the best in people and situations. I have learned to identify and develop these qualities in my team since joining Carrick.
What is a typical day at work like for you?
A typical workday for me involves meetings with new and existing clients, team delegations, managerial sessions, and team development.
We are always looking for driven people to join our growing team.
