Leading South African wealth management and financial services firm Carrick Wealth is privileged to announce the appointment of Anton Schoeman to its senior management team as General Manager for the Western Cape.
Anton brings a wealth of experience to Carrick, having previously held senior positions at ABSA Wealth, Standard Bank Wealth and Stonehage Fleming. He is also highly qualified, having graduated with a BA LLB from Stellenbosch University, has a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (PGDFP), is a CFP Charter holder, and has completed RE1 and RE5 9 (Cat 1 and Cat 2).

“Anton has demonstrated his expertise and experience both technically and practically, having built successful teams in his previous positions. Taking charge of the Cape Town sales office, he will form an integral part of the Carrick leadership, mandated to ensure the Carrick Group’s 2025+ strategy is achieved.”
Anton lists a range of impressive previous positions held, among them director and head of client management at Stonehage Fleming, managing the Western Cape and Winelands regions for Standard Bank Wealth, managing director of Ultegra Financial Group, vice president (Wealth Management) at Absa Wealth, and senior manager at BoE Private Clients.
Anton says he looks forward to working with the Carrick team which he regards as being “highly professional, internationally experienced and entrepreneurial at the core, yet remaining client-centric with a holistic integrated approach to managing wealth”.

Anton says he is a strong believer in mentoring and developing people and providing the necessary framework to help them achieve success.
Among his personal interests he counts family travel, mountain-biking, fishing, adventure motorcycling, and philanthropy. Anton is married and has two children aged 13 and 10. He says spending time with his family is very important to him.
