South African wealth management and investment firm Carrick Wealth has been announced as the winner of the Excellence in Advisory Best Practice for Africa at the prestigious International Investment Awards 2021, which took place last night.
The award was announced on the eve of Carrick Wealth’s seventh birthday, the company having registered with the Financial Services Board (South Africa) on 8th October 2014.
The strict judging criteria included assessments of fee disclosure; regulation in the relevant jurisdiction; qualifications of client-facing advisors and supporting training programs; the use of suitability reports in the advisory process; and innovations that have enabled the firm to ensure that advisory best practice is met.
The International Investment Awards are now in their 22nd year and are the longest running event of their kind. Entries are judged by a panel of experts.
In attaining this achievement in a highly competitive field and adding another accolade to an already substantial list, Carrick has once again demonstrated its commitment to a genuinely customer-centric approach to advice, service and overall best practice, as well as excellence in compliance.
“I am beyond excited for Carrick to be awarded the Excellence in Financial Advisory regional award for Africa and on the day before our seventh birthday,” said Craig Featherby, Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Carrick. “The team has worked very hard to build this incredible business which focuses on great outcomes for our clients via a professional, personalised and proactive approach. We are well on our journey to change the face of financial services on the African continent and embed the concept of ‘hospitality’ in our client experience.”
In seven short years, Carrick has grown its regional footprint substantially and is recognised as one of the fastest-growing advisory firms in the industry.
