Tell us about how you contribute to the success of Carrick Wealth as an organisation.
I look after the needs of wealthy investors wanting to explore both local and offshore structures, markets and investment opportunities. Over the years I have earned a reputation for being a highly competent and sought-after Investment Specialist, with a unique ability to truly understand my client’s financial objectives.
I have financial qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI), a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA – Cum Laude) from Trinity College, Dublin, and an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town (UCT). My diverse and extensive qualifications allow me to offer real insight into both my clients’ financial aspirations and their businesses and livelihoods.
I make use of sound financial planning strategies to deliver above-average returns for my clients. I eliminate ‘the noise’ and create holistic plans in which all the elements work together, so the clients get the benefit of an integrated solution. Whatever your financial dreams and goals, I will partner with you to make them a reality.
What is the best part about your job?
I get to meet new people every day and help them with their financial problems. Solving problems is something I love doing.
Tell us about your personal and professional growth while working at Carrick.
Whilst at Carrick I have furthered my education extensively by, in addition to my RE5 exam, completing CISI levels 2, 3 and 4. I am now in the process of doing my Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning and hope to complete this by the end of 2021.
What is a typical day at work like for you?
I enjoy engaging with my clients and so I aim to spend at least 2 hours doing research and finding engaging articles for them to read. I also try to engage on social media with my followers. Most of my time, however, is spent in meetings with existing or prospective clients.
