Carrick Wealth Welcomes Global Business Development Manager

Vision 20/20: The future is Africa

Greg StocktonJoining Carrick Wealth as Global Business Development Manager on 1 July is Greg Stockton. In his new position, Stockton will spearhead the Carrick 20/20 expansion strategy into Africa alongside Mike Potts, Director: Retail Sales.

“In 2006, Greg and I worked together in a small office in Tokyo. Today, 11 years later, we are rejoining forces”, says Craig Featherby, Carrick CEO. “Carrick’s vision is set on Africa. We live in a time of vast opportunity and Greg will be joining Carrick at an exciting intersection of potential and technological innovation.  We welcome Greg with open arms and look forward to having him on our team.”

After a yearlong break from the industry, spent focusing on passion projects, Stockton is delighted to re-enter the financial world, saying that “Carrick have clearly achieved remarkable success since opening their doors in 2014 and have massive, ambitious plans for the coming years, of which I am extremely excited to be part of. I look forward to working alongside Craig, the Board and all the teams over the coming years to build upon this already incredible brand, but most importantly, add value for clients”.

Widely traveled and highly experienced, Stockton has 15 years’ expertise in the financial services industry, including positions in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, Dubai and South Africa. His vast experience in wealth and asset management combined with business development and leadership will serve him well. As testament to his dynamic leadership qualities, Greg was one of the top senior managers at a previous firm and developed some of the most successful advisers and managers globally.

“Carrick strives to change the face of the financial services industry in Africa. Our market-leading, dynamic, technologically competent and highly professional ethos positions the business to lead the ‘new model’ of next generation financial services firms, positively impacting the lives of all with whom it works”, says Craig. “In this light, Stockton will play a vital role in the training and development of new advisers, recruiting and retaining talent”.

“Carrick cannot wait to continue servicing and exploring opportunities in Africa. We are looking forward to being the vanguard of a paradigm shift in the financial services industry: focusing on a client-led view of the world in which the purpose of firms is to add value for clients”, says Craig.

“The future is Africa.”
